George V. Fisher, 60, of Beverly, Mass., died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, while swimming off the coast of Greece on a sailing vacation. He was the husband of Nikki (Thoman) Fisher.
George was born in Independence, MO, on May 27, 1946, the son of the late Victor and Loleta (Johnson) Fisher. George was a 1964 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, and a 1968 graduate of Central Missouri State University.
A resident of Beverly since 1997, George was a member of the Jobilee Yacht Club and the Marbelehead Power Squadron. Geroge and his wife, Nikki, operated a management consulting business, The Fisher Group, that George founded in 1997.
George spent his career in a variety of executive sales, marketing and customer service positions for companies such as Computer Sciences Corporation, Apple Computer, Sprint and US Airways, where he was Vice-President of Customer Service.
In addition to Beverly, George and his wife of 39 years, have lived in Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Kansas City, Missouri and Pittsburgh, PA.
