Karen K. Rogers
757-253-7610Karen Rogers is proud to announce the release of her first novel, Born in the Ashes. This work is her first to be published under the name Elisabeth Kaye, a compilation of Karen’s middle name and her daughter’s. Her daughter, Aimee Rogers Fluitt, edited and embellished Karen’s original work. Born in the Ashes is the story of a young woman named Emilia who loses a family member in the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Eager to escape from her sheltered life as the wife of a small-time Mafioso, Emilia seizes the opportunity to fake her death, assume someone else’s identity, and leave New York. With a job, new friends, and a new relationship with a federal prosecutor, she begins to build a life in a small town in Maine, only to have her husband eventually track her down. The author is originally from Missouri and currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia. She is available for book signings; questions about her book should be directed to her at the above number. Born in the Ashes was published by Publishamerica and is available for purchase at Amazon.com and all major booksellers.
Wonderful idea to put this on the web site. An edit I would suggest is adding that Karen Brandenburg Rogers is a 1966 graduate of Truman High School . She is writing under the pen name of Elisabeth Kaye. Readers who enjoy book can write a short review at amazon.com or PublishAmerica.com
