LINDA SUE (Kennedy) LANDERS
Linda Sue Landers, 63, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on October 17, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Linda was born on August 16, 1947 in Independence, Missouri the daughter of Marvin and Eileen (Scarborough) Kennedy. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" L. Landers on January 6, 1967 in Independence, Missouri. They enjoyed nearly 44 years together.
Linda was employed by Wal-Mart for over 25 years, serving in various capacities, most recently as a Customer Service Manager and Cashier. Linda enjoyed reading all kinds of books and always knew the best books to recommend to friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Kennedy, Jr. Linda leaves behind her husband, Bill Landers of the home; sons, Brian Landers of Blue Springs, MO, Scott Landers & wife, Jacque of Blue Springs, MO, Steven Landers & wife, Megan of Blue Springs, MO; parents, Marvin and Eileen Kennedy of Independence, MO; five beloved grandchildren, Eliza, Taylor, William, Bryce and Kelsi; aunts, Theresa Pop and husband, Sonny of Charleston, SC, Connie Kennedy of Raytown, Missouri; uncles, Michael Scarborough and Tommy Scarborough, both of Charleston, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, Blue Springs. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm, prior to the service.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association .
