Terry L. Penrose, 63, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010, in St. Louis, MO. Terry was born January 4, 1947, in Aurora, Illinois, to Walter and Elma (Settles). He was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church in O'Fallon, MO. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Jan, his two children, Shelley M. Penrose of Blue Springs, MO, and Brett J. Penrose, of the home, a granddaughter, Arielle Marie Best of Blue Springs, MO, his mother, Elma Penrose of Independence, MO, a brother, Larry (Marsha) of Independence, MO, a sister, Ada Seelinger of Independence, MO, a niece, Emily (Jeff) Penrose-McLaughlin of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry worked at Magnavox in Ft. Wayne , IN , for 14 years, and the last several years as Director of Operations for medical device companies in Texas , Illinois , Wisconsin and Missouri .
He was a graduate of University of Central Missouri and received his MBA from the University of Indianapolis . He was a member of Acacia Fraternity, Wisc. Biotechnology & Med. Device Assoc. and Institute of Industrial Engineers .
He was active in Morning Star United Methodist Church in O'Fallon, MO, and enjoyed golf, running 10-Ks, playing French Horn in community band, and spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 1-2 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Kansas City , MO.
A celebration of his life will be October 16 at Morning Star Church in O'Fallon, MO. Family will greet friends at 12:30 p.m. with service at 1:00 p.m.

VERN K. MEINERSHAGEN
Vern K. Meinershagen, 91 of Independence , Missouri passed away October 1, 2010. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, October 4, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Independence. Burial to follow in Ebenezer United Church of Christ Cemetery, Levasy , Mo. Visitation will be 2 to 4pm Sunday, October 3, 2010 at DW Newcomer's Sons Noland Road Chapel, Independence . Vern was born July 24, 1919 In Independence , Mo. to Edward and Ida (Kehr) Meinershagen. Vern served his country proudly 2 times, He was a Master Sergeant, recipient of the Bronze Star and is a veteran of the US Army.
Vern loved working with wood and had a passion for clocks. He married Betty Jane Rohr on October 1, 1943 and what would have been their 67th anniversary, Vern joined his bride in heaven.
He is preceded into death by his parents and his wife Betty in 2006. Vern is survived by 2 Sons: Lynn E. Meinershagen and his wife Karen of Nevada, Missouri and Alan V. Meinershagen and his wife Christina of Aurora, Illinois. 7 Grandchildren: Stephen D. Meinershagen, Jason E. Meinershagen, David W. Meinershagen, Derek W. Meinershagen, Mitchell D. Meinershagen Kirk A. Meinershagen and Mandilou Tramonte. 16 Great-grandchildren.
