Remember your blanket. Remember a seat cushion if you have one as the metal bleachers can chill you.

We do not currently know if the VFW on 24 Highway - just east of Chrisman H.S. - is having a meal on October 14th. If they are serving, this is an affordable place with large tables where Classmates have successfully gathered before the Truman v. Chrisman Football games in the past. Call Marilyn at 816 796-8995 or Cecil at 816 461-9110 after October 5 if you want to join us for a pre-game meal.

So, we had a little tailgate party in the parking lot of the former Lewis Cleaners on 24 Highway (Marilyn still owns the paper on the place) and we had eight people eat with us. Meager turnout, but who cares? We had fun!

Then two more joined us and sat with us at the game. Later on we discovered two more classmates wete at the game. So, we can say 12 made the game and that ain't bad at all for a last minute thrown together event.

The two following signs which were worn to the game show how we did our bragging. Maybe in 2008 we can bump attendance up to 30 or 40 classmates.
